un mare che non tocca le sponde

Il primo ricordo è la neve. Ho pochi anni, tre quattro. Guardo dai vetri della finestra nell’orto del vicino tutto coperto di bianco. Non è qualcosa di confuso, è tutto chiaro alla mente: ricordo il mio stupore, e la mamma che dice: “A vit, bambin, cvela l’è la néva” (vedi, bambino, quella è la neve).

E lo stupore si rinnoverà sempre, per tutta la vita, quando la neve scenderà dal cielo e io la guarderò e uscirò all’aperto per stare con lei, con la sua intensità d’incantamento. Altro non posso dire, se non che è veramente cosa ineffabile, che mi prende tutto e mi dà pace.

Il vento bianco. Il vento bianco sopra la neve / fermo al crocevia / la luce nelle piazze / un mare che non tocca le sponde / suona la memoria / che non fa tornare nessuno.
